Belldandy Pony Plush MLP Plushie Contest

Here is my second entry for the MLP Plushie Crossover Contest. Instead of making a costume for a plush I had already made, like my other entry, I decided to kill two birds with one stone and try to shrink my existing Alicorn pattern down while I made a plushie that was entirely themed around a non-pony character. Thus, I give to you: the goddess Belldandy from the anime "Ah! My Goddess!" (or "Oh! My Goddess!" They are both correct).

Belldandy is made from ultra cuddle, crushed panne, pipe cleaners, foam, and assorted jewelry fixings. Her head and wings are jointed on so they can be swiveled/adjusted, and her wings have real feathers. Her robe, shoes, and jewelry are removeable (I left her earrings in, though, because they were a pain to get set right). Her cutie mark is a bell with a feather. All patterns, including the embroidery, jewelry, and clothing, are my own creation.

I am so pleased with how she turned out, especially her head! I can't wait to redo Celestia and Luna w/the new pattern, but that will be a WAYS in the future (other projects to do, first). I am also extremely happy with how much I have learned with this contest: new pattern, jewelry making, how to make different styles of clothing & shoes, improved ladder stitch techniques, and so on. My speed has also really started to pick up, which is good because I have very limited free time.

MLP:FIM belongs to Hasbro & Ms. Faust; Belldandy & Ah! My Goddess belong to Kodansha/various companies that hold the distribution license (it's an older series, so it's currently not being distributed in the states. You can still find copies or check Hulu or similar sites if you are interested; I highly recommend this series, the animation is very nice and the story is sweet and funny w/out going into tentacle land).
