Swish vs Stuffed

I have finished working out how I'm going to get the "swish" type tails to work; I've shown a basic comparison here. I'll get some worn pictures tomorrow when there's light to show the difference as well. The "swish" tails have a sewn-in stuffed base that extends out to the edge of the curve on top of the tail, then the rest of the tail is left empty to allow maximum flexibility & response to body movement. My only issue w/these tails is that, while they are secure with their Velcro attachments, the top tends to "droop" a bit at the waist since they weigh more than air. They still stand out from the body, but not as well as if they were belted on (which nobody wanted). I thought about wiring the tails a bit, but that would make sitting down somewhat...uncomfortable. I used a large safety pin to compensate and add a bit more tail security at BronyCon, and it was perfectly comfortable; worked like a champ. I will be adding one of these pins to every tail that goes out, in case someone wants their tail to sit perfectly flat against their belt loop.

The "swish" tail is kind of fun to move around in; it's lighter and doesn't bump the legs as obviously as the stuffed one does. It likes to flare out in spins, too. I have four more sewn tails waiting to be either "swished" or "stuffed" depending on how folks wanted their own finished. I haven't forgotten about the bow, either; just wanted to get the "swish" tested out first.

Helpful comments are welcome; what would you like to see improved? Dump the "swish" and keep the "stuffed?" Wire the base anyways? Thank you for your input!
