More views of my feathered Princess Luna plush. She took at least 70 hours of work, probably more. Working with ultra cuddle is an exercise in patience. Tossing in organza and feathers made it extra fun!
I found out that unless you specifically buy them, feathers will come in only one direction (right wing or left wing). So, I got to try two wings w/the same direction feathers, and got a different look. Not sure if I want to get different wings and do the natural look, or go against the grain for the more dynamic effect. More experimentation is needed!
Her chest guard is pinned into place while the fabric glue dries; I will be installing hooks soon. As is my standard, all her accessories are removeable to allow more costumes in the future!
I will be working on outfits for her for a while, as well as a MLP:FIM project that is NOT a pony. I do have a few ponies planned for the future, but not immediately.
Princess Luna belongs to Hasbro & Ms. Faust; this is a fan plush. All patterns and embroidery designs are by me.
Thank you very much! I know they aren't very huggable, but they looked so awesome in my head, I just couldn't resist trying it out. Actually came out fairly close, too! I plan on just dressing her up instead of hugging...although I am considering how to make the same effect w/fabric feathers instead of the real deal in order to indulge in the snuggles!
*blushes* Well, I don't know if creating a stuffed animal would qualify me as a "bamf," but I'm pretty psyched! I've got the fabric laid out for my next project already (not a pony, but hopefully cool nonetheless). I think I'm hooked on plush...hehe. Do you feel that way about your customs?
I do - I've just been so busy at Gamestop lately that I haven't had any time to work on the stuff I love! I want to work on my plushies really bad, but my sewing machine is still broken and I haven't had time to fix it. meh. I think I'll look into that tmw actually. I just found out my shift is shorter than I thought. YAY!
